Ellijay Farmers Market

Farmers, bakers and candlestick makers! Not quite, but you’ll find vendors of all sorts selling homegrown, homemade or home baked delicious breads, muffins, jellies and pies. Plants, fresh eggs, seasonal vegetables, artisan soaps, jellies, etched glassware, woodworking, embroidered linens, fresh grassfed beef and pork products, and much needed — the ubiquitous carpenter bee traps. Things change from week to week with the occasional musician to entertain market goers, activities for children including face painting, and artists. The Farmers Market is a project of the Master Gardeners of Gilmer County, with folks onsite to answer questions about plants and gardening, arrange home visits, and introduce classes or takeaway projects courtesy of the Gilmer County Library. Open on Saturdays through the first of October, the market is located on Broad Street in Downtown Ellijay, between the Courthouse and Watkins Hall.
